If you have questions about MagicIntake SMS notifications:

Frequently asked

Will I be charged to receive SMS from MagicIntake?
MagicIntake does not charge any SMS fees. However, standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply, just like any text message.
Can I use MagicIntake without SMS notifications?
Yes. SMS notifications are entirely optional. You can decline SMS during onboarding by clicking "Skip for now" on the welcome screen, or disable them anytime in your portal settings. The product works fully without SMS — you'll still receive in-app notifications and email updates.
What number will texts come from?
All MagicIntake SMS messages are sent from a verified toll-free number. You can save this number in your contacts as "MagicIntake" for easy recognition.
Why do you ask for my phone during onboarding?
We ask once, during your first portal visit, so we can send you transactional updates about your documents. The checkbox is unchecked by default — you opt in deliberately, or you skip without entering anything. We never use your number for marketing.
Where is my consent recorded?
When you opt in, MagicIntake records the timestamp of your consent and your phone number in our secure database. This record is used to demonstrate compliance with SMS regulations and to honor opt-out requests.
